A Divergent Look at 3 Cards that Indicate Success in the Tarot
Six of Wands
The first card I want to look at is one of my favorite cards in the tarot as a whole. A rider is usually depicted as coming in on their horse and being celebrated for their achievements. Some meanings of this card like to point out that success comes at a cost, and while the crowd celebrates, they are not always aware of how much was sacrificed. As a card that indicates success this card often comes up when passion projects, career changes, or entrepreneurial pursuits begin to take off.
When you see this card, know that the hard work is going to pay off. You’re going to see more success because of the work you put it in and it is not the time to hide just how hard you’ve worked to get there.
Ace of Pentacles
To me, the Aces all represent unique opportunities. The Ace of Pentacles shows up for me and my clients most when they are beginning a new career, contemplating project ideas (and the Ace says YES, do this!), or when they’re beginning to recover from something that has kept them in check. This could be mental health or physical health related. Whatever the case, the Ace of Pentacles is a bit of a risk but promises the payoff is worth it.
Judgment
To pull this card is to be called to dance to the beat of your own drum. Judgment appears for those who are wondering about their truth and if this next step is for them. Yes, says Judgment, but step quickly into it. The limelight is for you. Judgment also indicates that as long as you bring authenticity and openness to the situation, there’s very little that can derail your success. Be aware though, that Judgment asks a lot of you. Being yourself is difficult and many people do not know how to do so automatically.
More so, if they are used to putting on a stage presence then they will find that they are being asked to remove a mask, not replace it. There’s vulnerability in this card that if you can tolerate it, will guide you to bigger and brighter things.
