A Show of Strength: A Psychic’s Predictions for the 2024 United States Presidential Election
A Storm Approaching
I have been asking my community for months now if they’ve felt this wall of determined energy barreling towards us. Something alive and almost electric in its tenacity as time marches forward. Well, that energy, seems to have taken quite a shape in the form of the electoral race now being run by Vice President Kamala Harris, and Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz, for president and vice president respectively on the Democratic side. Tonight as I sit here typing this it feels imperative that we pay attention right now. This wave has only just begun rolling.
We are seeing a lot of mobilization and the Harris/Walz team have hit the ground running. Neither of them is a slouch in the political arena. I won’t rehash their resumes here but suffice it to say, the frank and determined energy they’re channeling may be exactly what they need to take it to the finish line. Here’s why.
2024 is the Year of Strength
In tarot, it is said that you calculate what kind of energy a year may give you by using simple math. 2024 boils mathematically down to 8 if you add all the numbers individually. In the tarot that would be the card Strength. A card of challenge being presented to us and knowing that we must now be persistent with our intent and our demands but not so overbearing so as to inspire hostility or defensiveness. This will require frank discussion on both party sides and may not be an easy thing for either side to come together and learn something. So, imagine my surprise when as I was pulling cards on the question ‘who will win the election?’ I got Strength. I have been associating so much of Kamala Harris’ direct and personable; dare I say transparent, approach to be the very embodiment of this card. (refreshing in politics, I think)
Let’s Talk Placements
So, the reading breaks down like this. Four cards, four specific parts. 1. Who Will Win? 2. How Will They Win This? (Demonstrate) 3. What Will This Show The People? 4. Outcome for the United States.
Who Will Win? Strength.
This, as I said earlier, is absolutely Kamala Harris and her team for me. There are so many elements in just the image of a confident compassionate person taming a frenzied animal with their persistence and capacity for grace. I think of all of the noise people have to sort through. The misinformation that is already flooding in and how her team has dealt with it so far with the same stoic but self-aware humor that has allowed us to see a politician who has their eyes wide open.
How Will They Win This? 10 of Wands
It is no secret that we as a country are exhausted. No matter your opinion politically, people on all sides have been feeling fatigue for a while now. Kamala Harris and her team have been noted for their approach to people and working with questions from regular everyday folks. It’s refreshing to see people who have been in the trenches in their own ways and seen the obstacles many of us still face today. They are trying to roll this country forward and in doing so they know they must help shoulder the burden. We have enough talking heads, I truly think this team has what it takes to get some effective work done in this country.
How Can We Rally Around This Energy? 3 of Pentacles
What does a working system even look like? I don’t know that there are many alive who have seen a political system be without flaw or failure from time to time. Let us not forget just how many cultures come together in our cities every single day. Many people today can tell you what a failing government looks like. They’ve seen it. So, if we are to fix this then it will require work from every individual. And no, we don’t need to get into what work looks like from one person to another, mind your business and let them mind theirs. Everyone plays their part and should be able to do so without fear of that work being undone down the road. A balance of work together but avoid becoming a too many cooks in the kitchen situation.
The Outcome? The Sun Reversed
How many of you have had a significant life upheaving moment? A death, a coming out, a divorce, a realization. It doesn’t seem particularly bright some mornings here in Minnesota when frost is just beginning to lick away at the grass and the roads. Sometimes there’s still a rainy misty feeling in the air. And on days when the heart is heavy but hopeful for another day after this one, those mornings can seem so bleak. But we make our list of tasks to do. Get up, shower, go to work, grab groceries after work, maybe (definitely) treat yourself a little bit, make it home.
I have felt since the moment that Biden stepped down that it was because not just a democrat reached out but a behind closed doors bipartisan appeal. Something that showed him a glimpse of a unified political system when hate has so long been a driving and divisive force. For this reason, I think that we stand a chance with a former attorney general and a teacher who said it best, “Take care of your neighbors”.
Does this mean healing will be easy? Hell no. We as a nation have been wounded from the very beginning and we haven’t been able to mend those wounds in long term ways quite yet. Ways that benefit the people here and now but also build toward a better tomorrow. It will likely take years of reform and an honest show of political results before any of us feel like we can begin to take any kind of significant breath. But we have to start somewhere. And I truly believe we are on our way there. Maybe it’s foolish. But as I always say, trust your gut on this. Not your anxieties or fears. Not hate. Change forward does not have to make anyone feel alone or left out. Persistence, compassion, and unity are not bad pillars to lean on in times of need.
Final Thoughts
I do think Kamala Harris will win. I do wonder who majority will be in the senate. Truthfully, if we are to truly unite on anything I wonder about an outcome that has both parties positioned where if they do this right it will feel more like that natural ebb and flow of the tide. To be clear, that’s the long term ultimate goal. The work between now and then? As I said above, that healing will have to be done on both sides. And the first part is always addressing our own egos. That is never fun. But it can be so freeing and make us more compassionate, kind hearted, and resilient in the long run.
